Amir ul-Mu’minin (a) narrated that, once, one of Ansar, said to the Prophet (s): “God’s Messenger, I cannot depart you! As soon as I enter my house, you jump in my mind. I therefore leave my home and come to see you, out of my love for you. A question has occurred to me. How can I see you when you will be elevated to the highest point of Paradise?”
Hence, God revealed His saying:
“One who obeys Allah and the Messenger is the friend of the Prophets, saints, martyrs, and the righteous ones to whom Allah has granted His favors. They are the best friends that one can have (4:69)”
The Prophet (s) summoned that man and recited this Verse before him, as good tidings.” ( Bihar ul-Anwar; vol. 6 (Chapter: The Obligation of the love for and the obedience to the Prophet). )
