Contentment Of Imam Husayn (a.s)

Imam Husayn (a.s) was also a very contented person. One day Abu Darda came to him with a bag of dates and said, “Son of Allah’s Messenger, these are very high quality dates from my gardens. I have brought them as gift for you. Store them and eat from them for some days. The Imam smiled and asked, “O Abu Darda! When have you seen us storing something? We are content on that which Allah gives us everyday. We never hoard anything.” This conversation was going on when some companions of the Holy Prophet (S) arrived to meet the Imam.
