Prophet Adam (pbuh) raised his hands in dua saying, “O Allah!
Shaytan was able to deceive me, what defence does my
progeny have?”
Prophet Adam (pbuh) was praying for all mankind who are his
progeny.
Allah replied, “O Adam! I have given them the following:
i) If they have a bad intention but do not commit the act,
I will not record it.
ii) If they commit a bad deed I will record one sin for
them.
iii) If they do a good deed, I will reward them ten thawabs
for them.
iv) If they have a good intention, I will reward them for it.”
Prophet Adam (pbuh) requested more defence from Allah.
Allah said, “O Adam! The door of tawba (repentance) is always
open and I always accept the tawba of my servant.”
